Before/After School (Extra-Curricular) Programs
ArtsCalibre Academy provides high quality extra-curricular options for all our students. Whether it's engaging, supervised care or the many specialized classes shown below, we offer something of interest to every child.
Before/After School Care and our Extra-Curricular Classes are both offered at a very affordable $8.25 per hour (unless otherwise specified for classes such as Cooking and Violin).
Online Registration is now available! Just go to our Extra-Curricular Registration Form to book everything for your children. Payment options now include popular credit cards including Visa and MasterCard — as well as Interac e-Transfer, for which a 3% discount will be applied to all fees.
Registration Deadlines for the 2019/2020 school year:
- Term 1 (September 4th to December 18th, 2019) — Friday, September 6th, 2019
- Term 2 (January 6th to March 13th, 2020) — Wednesday, December 18th, 2019
- Term 3 (March 30th to June 22nd, 2020) — Friday, March 13th, 2020
Please Note: Our extra-curricular program fees are not eligible for the Ministry of Children and Family Development's Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) program. They are, however, considered tax deductible child care expenses on your annual income tax return. Email us at extra-curricular@artscalibre.ca to request official tax receipts for that purpose.

Before/After School Care
Facilitated by our fully qualified staff, these sessions are consistent with the meaningful programming that ArtsCalibre families have come to expect from us. Our Before and After School Care provide students with opportunities to socialize and "synergize" with their friends and classmates in a safe, positive environment outside of our regular classes. Student-led activities and project-based learning are encouraged...or just hanging out in our library with a good book or sketch pad!
Before School Care runs from 7:30 to 8:30 AM daily, taking students right up to the start of our regular classes.
After School Care supplements our Extra-Curricular Classes, beginning immediately after them each day — from 4:15 to 5:15 PM on Monday through Thursday, and 4:00 to 5:15 PM on Friday.
Extra-Curricular Classes
The graphic below shows the varied and growing "inventory" of classes that we draw from when creating our extra-curricular class schedules.
Afternoon classes immediately follow the end of each regular school day — running from 3:15 to 4:15 PM on Monday through Thursday, and from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Friday (accommodating that day's 2:00 PM early dismissal). Note: Junior Kindergarten families are offered a 3:00 to 4:00 PM option on Fridays, since the regular JK class ends at 3:00 PM with no early dismissal.
Morning classes are also available on occasion — for example, "Run Club" on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings each week. When available, they may be selected instead of standard Before School Care from 7:30 to 8:30 AM.
Each class caters to one or more age groups:
- Junior — Junior Kindergarten to Grade 1
- Elementary — Grades 2 to 5
- Advanced — Grade 6 and up (OR with teacher approval)
Exact classes will vary with each school term (semester) depending on student interest and instructor availability.
