Admissions — Pre-Kindergarten

 

New Families

Our simple goal is to ensure that your child receives the maximum benefit possible from our engaging,
Arts-enriched program.

To that end, our admissions process for new families is sensible and easy:

Step 1: Start Your Application

  • Begin the process by completing our online Prospective Student Questionnaire (PSQ), which should take you just a few minutes.  It's a quick and friendly way for us to get to know you and your child.  Once you submit it, the results will go directly to our Admissions staff.

Step 2: Meet with Us

  • After reviewing your PSQ, our Admissions staff will reach out to invite you and your child to personally tour our Pre-Kindergarten facilities at a convenient time for you.  During the school year (September through June) this is the perfect opportunity to meet our leaders and teaching staff, and to see our program in action.  Summer tours are still very worthwhile for viewing our facilities and having all your questions answered by one of our administrators.
  • If you're unable to meet with us in person — for example, you're moving to Victoria and "shopping" for preschools from out of town — a video call with us is an effective alternative.

Step 3: Consider Your Registration

  • Based on your personal tour or video call, decide whether you and your child wish to join our Pre-Kindergarten program.  If we're all comfortable that it's a good "fit", and your child will get the most out of their Arts-enriched experience with us...then it's a go!  Review the Attendance Options on our Overview page and choose the weekdays that you would like your child to attend.

Step 4: Complete Your Registration

  • Assuming that we have room to accommodate your chosen weekdays, we will email to you the forms and instructions you will need to fully register your child.
  • In addition to completing the forms, to secure your registration we will also ask for your non-refundable prepayment for the new school year, typically made via Interac e-Transfer.  This consists of:
    • Our $100 annual registration fee, and
    • Your monthly tuition fee for the school year's first month of September, based on the number of weekdays chosen and according to our Fees and Tuition page.
  • For mid-year admissions (after our school year begins) the registration process is the same, with appropriate fee adjustments for your child's later start.
  • If we are unable to fully accommodate your chosen weekdays, we can place you on our waiting list for the days we cannot initially fulfill.  Once you're on the list, we'll do all that we can to satisfy your request as soon as possible.

Existing Families

Children returning to us for the next school year are given priority re-enrollment until the first Friday in March.  After that date, new registrations are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.  We will notify all currently registered families well in advance of the annual re-enrollment deadline.

To confirm your re-enrollment, we must receive the following:

  • Pre-Kindergarten Registration Form (newly completed to ensure accuracy)
  • Updated immunization record and 2 digital "head shot" photos of your child
  • $100 annual registration fee and September tuition fee (non-refundable)
  • Completed Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) agreement for your October through June tuition payments.
