Ever since we opened in 2008, ArtsCalibre Academy has strived to provide children with all the skills necessary to excel throughout their educational careers, instilling in them a lifelong desire for learning.
We believe that creativity sparks a child’s curiosity, enabling them to fully open themselves to every learning experience. The Arts are the creative vehicle for this process. Students enrolled in our Pre-K program will acquire the specific skills needed to excel in Kindergarten, within a safe, respectful and enriching group learning environment. Classes are kept to a maximum of 20 children supported by 3 experienced teaching staff, resulting in an extraordinary student/teacher ratio.
Our Pre-Kindergarten program operates every school day from September to June from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, according to our website's School Calendar. We closely follow the Greater Victoria School District's calendar, but with only two closures for Professional Development (Pro-D) days in November and February. To be flexible for families' varied work and personal schedules - while ensuring that children get the maximum benefit from our structured curriculum - morning drop-offs may occur between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, and afternoon pick-ups only between 3:30 and 4:30 PM.
Enrollment is limited to children who demonstrate a readiness to learn and must be 3.5 or 4 at the start of the school year in September (e.g.: birthdate must be prior to March 1, 2021 for a September 2024 start). We deliver differentiated instruction through Fine Arts-infused programming. Our full-day Pre-Kindergarten model prepares students for Kindergarten and is not a daycare.
ArtsCalibre Academy is accepting registrations for the 2024/2025 school year. We want you to feel completely comfortable with your decision to join us and we enjoy meeting the child and family to ensure a good fit for everyone. The first step in our admissions process is to complete a Prospective Student Questionnaire, after which you and your child will be invited to meet the staff and see our beautiful facility. Schedules
Families may choose from 2 to 5 days per week:
- Two Class Option: Tuesday/Thursday
- Three Class Option: Monday/Wednesday/Friday
- Four Class Option: Add Tuesday or Thursday to the Three Class Option above
- Five Class Option: Monday through Friday
NOTE: Subject to availability, exceptions to the above weekday combinations may be made to accommodate families' unique work/child care schedules. Please contact us to inquire.
