Our Policies
Registration and Monthly Fee Payments
ArtsCalibre offers separate classes for 3 Year Olds and 4 Year Olds. For the 2010/2011 school year, to be eligible for enrollment your child must have reached the specified age by the end of December 2010.
To register, complete our Registration Form and mail it with your non-refundable $50 registration fee to:
ArtsCalibre Academy Ltd.
c/o 3537 Murdoch Crescent
Victoria, BC V8P 5B6
This secures a spot for your child for the coming year. Upon receiving your registration and fee, we will contact you and set up a meeting. At this meeting we will:
- Review your registration and confirm eligibility
- Provide you with all remaining forms to be completed, e.g. medical history, emergency contacts, etc, and
- Answer any questions you may have regarding our program. Post-dated monthly cheques (dated the 1st of each month) for the entire September-to-June school year are due by September 7, 2010. These fees include the cost of all supplies.
A $40 fee will apply to all NSF cheques, which must be replaced promptly. Failure to do so will result in the removal of your child from the program. Following a second NSF cheque, ArtsCalibre will require certified cheques or money orders for the remaining months of the school year.
Program Withdrawal
Written notice is required in order to withdraw your child from the program. All post-dated payments falling beyond one month of the notification date will be refunded in full (i.e. cheques destroyed).
Discipline
We use positive methods of discipline which encourage self-control, self-direction, self-esteem and cooperation. Physical or emotional punishment is never used.
Pickup and Drop Off
Parents/guardians are required to drop off and pick up their children. Children should not be dropped off any earlier than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start of class, and must be picked up no later than 10 minutes after the end of class.
Under no circumstances will we allow a child to be picked up by anyone other than those identified in the Registration Form completed as part of the registration process.
Miscellaneous
Children must be toilet trained, and should be able to dress themselves (e.g. put on coat, shoes, etc) with minimal or no assistance.
Parents should provide a snack for their child for each class. Peanuts are not permitted due to potential allergies.
